My name is John Nguyen and I am looking to start a new adventure as a Web Developer. You'll find some previews of my work if you decide to snoop around the course studies part of my site for a little bit. What first got me into coding was a digital communications class in high school. Once that class was over, there was no real direction or information given by the instructor to pursue that path any further. For the longest time, I didn't know what I wanted to do with my life until I decided to browse around Barnes and Noble in the computer science section. HTML5 Step by Step was the first book that I've ever studied.

At that point is where my passion for coding started. Being able to manipulate page content from scratch is what interested me. While studying this book, I snooped around my local college website to find out there was a government funded program that let students study front end development for certification at no charge. Unfortunately the program ended before I could recieve my ceritficate so I registered for classes to be able to get the Web Application Development certificate. Can't really get a job with just certification though, you also have to know people in the industry to get your foot in the door. So I decided to continue my education in pursuit of an ATA degree in Web Application and Cloud Dvelopment. Which was actually one of the best decisions I've made, because I was able to learn about so many other technologies and tools.

With all that being said. I've put some of that knowledge to use to build this portfolio. Hopefully there is enough information and personality here for you to consider hiring me!
