MY INTERESTS
PAINTING
Painting has been one of my long time interests. I find it a source of creativity and relaxation. If I had to describe my painting style I would consider it whimsical. Some of my favorite artists are Mark Rothko and Gustav Klimpt.
TEA
Tea is one of the most consumed beverages in the world and it is preceived differently around the world. I find tea culture fascinating. Also, I grew up drinking tea, so it carries a very strong connection with my identity. I guess my tea pantry can be considered my own personal Wunderkammer.
MATERIAL CULTURE
Material culture is a great interest of mine because it tells the stories and journeys of objects and their interaction with people and cultures. Objects are imbued with meaning and purpose, whether it be a t-shirt, window display, engagement ring or an artifact. Material culture fascinates me because it links identities with objects.
