Hello and Welcome to My Webpage

Seattle Space Needle

My name is Alice and I am a student at Edmonds Community College in Edmonds, Washington. I am enrolled in the Worker Retraining Program. I was laid off from my previous employment in March of this year. It was then that I decided I wanted to go back to school. Currently, I am in pursuit of a Computer Information Systems - Web Application Developer ATA. At the moment, I am in my first quarter at Edmonds Community College. I am excited to continue this program and expand my knowledge in this field.

This is not my first time being enrolled in college. I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Anthropology with a minor in Museum Studies from Central Washington University. In my future employment I would like to work in the Greater Seattle area. I have lived in Washington State practically my entire life. My favorite part about living in the Seattle area is the rain. I would like to work in the non-profit or museum industry utilizing the skills and knowledge that I have gained from both my academic and professional career.

Some of my interests involve painting, bird-watching, tea, and baking breads. I have been painting for many years. I don't consider myself anywhere near professional. I find painting to be a creative outlet and as a form of stress relief. Similarly, this applies to baking. I enjoy baking savory and sweet breads. However, I prefer working with savory doughs because I don't want to consume a lot of sugar.

Bird-watching is very new to me. I just started taking an interest in bird-watching in that past year or so. I enjoy going outside and seeing nature. There are many places in this area that provide bird-watching experiences. I have to say, out of all the interests I have listed that my tea carries the most sentiment to me. Tea has always been a part of my life ever since I was a young girl. I grew up drinking all varieties of tea. One of my favorite memories was when I was in first grade. Everyday after school I would drink tea with my mother on the house porch.

On this site you will find various aspects of my personal and professional life.
