Doug Vickers, Webmaster

Most of my adult career life has been in sales and management. I was laid off several years ago after the company I worked for was purchased by another company and they did not have room for me any longer. After a frustrating period of being unemployed, I decided to mare a career change and go back to school. As intimidating as that was (I had not been to school in 30 years!) I buckled down and made it through with honors. I am currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Information Technology Management at Central Washington University. I truly enjoy web development and look forward to an exciting second half of life.

I am divorced with a daughter and two fish. I live alone in Everett, where I call home since 1998, but am rarely ever alone. I have a wonderful girlfriend of 6 years, am close to her daughter, and I have great friends. There are several things I enjoy doing, seeing, and experiencing. Favorite things:

• I love to play pickleball. I play at 24 Hour Fitness in Silver Lake. Its a great game as I get older and basketball is sometimes hard on me.
• Basketball has been one of my favorite things to do since I was a kid. I especicially enjoy 3 on 3 tournaments like the biggest in the world held in Spokane, WA..As I get older, the toll basketball takes on my body gets greater and I do not play as much as I used to.
• Another awesome way to bring out my competitive spirit and enjoy God's green earth is on the golf courses of Washington.The two I enjoy the most are Walter E. Hall and Lynnwood.
• I love the game of Magic. It is a fantasy card game that can be played with friends at a table or online with friends around the world.
• And does TV get any better than the Sci-Fi channel with 'Eureka' and 'Warehouse 13'?
• When all else fails, I relax in my recliner or on the beach with a good fantasy or mystery novel on my Kindle. My favorite authors are R. A. Salvatore and John Grisham.
